Welcome Back to Life at Anchor!
Well, here we are again.
Years ago, Life at Anchor was my little corner of the internet—a place where I attempted to share projects, creative adventures, and snippets of everyday life. Like many websites of that era, it slowly drifted away as life became busier, social media took over, and keeping up with a website moved lower and lower on the priority list.
Eventually, the website disappeared altogether.
But the creating never stopped.
The quilts kept being stitched. The embroidery machines kept humming. The fabric stash somehow continued to grow. New recipes were tested, new tools found their way into my craft room and kitchen, and countless projects filled my days in between work, family, school activities, and all the beautiful chaos of everyday life.
For a long time, I shared much of that creativity on Instagram. But lately, I've found myself missing something that social media can't quite provide—a place to tell the full story behind a project, to document the journey, and to create a home for all the things I love making.
So here we are, beginning again.
Life at Anchor is once again my place to share quilts, embroidery projects, sewing adventures, paper crafts, laser projects, baking experiments, and whatever creative rabbit hole I happen to tumble down next. Some posts may be detailed tutorials. Some may simply be photos of a finished project I'm proud of. Others may be notes about tools, techniques, and lessons learned along the way.
Mostly, I hope this becomes a place that celebrates the joy of making.
In a world that often feels rushed and digital, there is something deeply satisfying about creating something with your own hands. Whether it's a quilt stitched one block at a time, a loaf of bread pulled from the oven, or a handmade gift created for someone you love, those projects tell stories. They become part of our homes and our lives.
That's what you'll find here.
Thank you for stopping by as this new chapter begins. The website may be new again, but the creativity behind it has been here all along.
Welcome back to Life at Anchor.
